Women's Resources and Job Expo

There will be a Women's Resources and Job Expo to be held on October 20th at the UVU Sorensen Student Center Grande Ballroom. It will be from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be a keynote speaker at 7:00 to7:30 and door prizes at 7:30.  Look for the poster on the ward bulletin board near the bishop's office. We hope that any sisters who are interested in finding work or improving their work situation or are interested in further education will come.

Craft Night

Our Relief Society Craft Night will be Tuesday, October 18th at 7:00 PM

A children's class will be provided.

We are very excited for this month's activity. There is always a high demand for crafts, so hopefully you see something below you want to make. Each craft has an estimated time to make, so feel free to sign up for more than one. We will be passing sign ups around the next 2 Sundays or you can email what you want to make to bonneville11@gmail.com.

Pumpkin Book

Cost: Free (limit 1)

Time to make: 30 minutes

We have paperbacks available, but if you have your own, please bring it. Also, you are welcome to do more than one if you bring your own books. How cute would different sizes, or different gourd shapes be all grouped together?

8x10 Menu Frame (the one pictured is square, but we will be doing 8x10)

Cost: free or $1.50

Time to make: 10-30 minutes

The cost will be free if you want to bring your own frame (8x10 with glass...or frame it later) and piece of scrapbook paper. We will be printing the words directly onto the paper, so if you bring your own, make sure it isn't too dark or "busy" so you will be able to see the words. We will be able to print on 8.5"x11" paper only.  The paper will go under the glass (so if you bring your own frame, make sure there's glass) and then you can use a dry erase marker to write and re-write your menu plans each week.

Headband

Cost: .50-$1.50

Time to make: 25 minutes

The cost will be .50 if you bring your own material.  If you want to bring your own, you will need a 2.5"x60" piece for the larger flower, and 2.5"x30" for the smaller flower.

Frames to display your children's artwork/pictures

Cost: $ $1.00-2.00

Time to make: 15 minutes

This cost only applies to one 8x10 frame, not the set. 
This project is only $1 if you bring your own frame (any size, does not need glass). This is a painted frame with a burlap background and a clip to hold your child's artwork. If you have a specific paint color in mind, you may want to bring it with you.  You can also bring a different material to coordinate with your decor.

Christmas Board

Cost: $5.00

Time to make: 30-45 minutes

Front Door Frame with 1st letter of your Last Name

Cost: $3.50-$4.50

Time to make: 20-30 minutes

The cost will be $3.50 if you want to bring your own frame. One option for this craft would be to paint the frame and letter in more neutral colors and you could switch the paper for different holidays. 

If you would like to do this craft, you will definitely need to reserve a spot ahead of time,

 so we can get your letter ahead of time. Please indicate what letter you would like, in case you are giving this as a gift.

Matching Sticker Card (great for reverance during Sacrament Meeting)

Cost: $1.50

Time to make: 20-30 minutes

If you can tell from the frog in the bottom left-hand corner, there is a sticker on the card and then a matching sticker to velcro on top of it.

To help keep the costs affordable, we need people who are willing to donate/loan any of the following:

Scissors
Paint/sponge brushes
Paint (the small acryllic paint bottles of any color)
Sand paper
Hot glue/guns and/or craft glue
Paper cutters
Material
Paper back books (200-300 page books)
